Roto zip safety
The roto zip is very useful tool but, we need to follow a few safety rules to ensure we finish our work safely and efficiently. Please follow the rules below when working with any kind of roto zip tool.
- Always check the tool for damage prior to use. Never use a damaged tool. Report all damaged tools to your Foreman.
- Check the tool bit for Sharpness (Change dull bits)
- Do not use the tool when you are tired or under the influence of Alcohol or illegal drugs.
- Always wear PPE (protective glasses, hard hat, safety shoes, gloves and hearing protection when noise level is above 85 Dba.)
- Do not overreach when using the tool.
- Ensure you have proper footing when using the tool.
- Do not wear loose clothing when operating the tool.
- Do not force the tool. Let the tool do the work.
- Always cut away from your hands and body. Never place your hands in the path of the tool.
- Position your body to avoid contact with the tool if it were to kickback.
- Always maintain a firm grip on the tool.
