HAND AND ARM PROTECTION POLICY: The Berg Group Safety Manual Section 1/Sub Section A.
- Employees involved with demolition work shall use cut resistant gloves with a rating of
ANSI A4 or higher. - Employees working with metal/Aluminum, glass or framing materials including DIRTT installation, shall use gloves with a cut resistance of ANSI A4 or higher (see image below).
- Employees shall wear Kevlar sleeves with a minimum cut resistance level of ANSI A4 when working with metal, glass, framing materials, or demolition of such materials.
- Employees working in non-framing, demolition, metal, or glass scopes such as drywall installation, paint, drywall finishing/taping and general labor are encouraged to wear A- 1 gloves. (See image below). General laborers that are scrapping/trashing metal and drywall materials shall be required to wear ANSI A4 hand protection
*There is zero tolerance on the glove policy. If you are injured as a result of not wearing hand and arm protection detailed in this policy, you will be subject to disciplinary action as outlined during your orientation.
